5 Extremely Useful Beauty Products

Hey Girlies,

I am always after the next quick fix or time saving item for my beauty routine, After much trial and error of beauty products these 5 items have stood the test of time and I am now recommending them to ladies everywhere.

These are my 5 favorite Extremely Useful Beauty Products

1. Mascara Guard

I don’t know about you ladies but too much of my time is wasted wiping little black smudges off my eyelids, cheeks, nose and lips…Yes even my lips can’t escape my failed attempts at applying mascara; I manage to get it everywhere. Thankfully the mascara guard exists. It looks strange and costs around $2 to purchase off eBay but It’s magic; when I remember to use it that is! Cleaning smudges off my face is one less thing I have to worry about in the morning now.

2. Baby Foot

I wasn’t sure how I felt about a product that promised me baby smooth feet, or that I would shed like a snake using it and leave flakes throughout the house for my boyfriend to find. But this is revolutionary! Pop your feet into the little plastic sock packets filled with fruit acid (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) and sit down for 2 hours then rinse off, after about 5 days the skin on your feet will start peeling off revealing lovely soft feet. Great for cracked heels!

3. Beauty Spoon

YES! Finally a product I have been wishing for! This one has been out for a while now but I have only recently discovered it. The basic function of the beauty spoon is to scoop up any remaining product from the bottom of your makeup containers. A Simple yet genius product! Now I can always get so much more foundation out of the bottle.

4. Fake Eyelash Applicator

I am terrible at applying fake lashes; I usually give up after a few tries and go without. But I found the easiest way for even my clumsy hands to apply lashes. It’s just a little rounded plastic clamp with rubber edges that holds the fake eyelashes. All you need to do is clamp down on the lashes then apply the glue, when the glue is tacky press the lash against your lash line and hold for a moment. 90% of the time it works perfectly and I don’t need to adjust them, but the other 10% of the time it’s just the ends of the lashes I need to fix. A fantastic little time saver!

5. Makeup Eraser

I usually just laugh when products claim to be the “Miracle” fix to your problem but I have found a rare product that actually works. It’s called the Makeup Eraser and it retails around $20. Its claim to fame is that it removes makeup with only warm water and the Makeup Eraser cloth. I watched reviews and was still skeptical about this product but after trying it I was amazed that it worked! Even my waterproof mascara came off easily. I won’t use anything else to remove my makeup unless I have to now. It doesn’t contain any chemicals and you just simply throw it in the wash to clean it.

So there we go Girlies! My top 5 Useful Beauty Products.

Let me know what useful Beauty Product you can't do without.

5 Old School Beauty Products

Hey Girlies,

Its time for a bit of reminiscing.

We all remember when we first started using beauty products and how exciting it was, but with the thousands of items on the market now we have probably forgotten all about our first loved products.

Well, I certainly haven't.
I may be older now but I still have my favorite old school products that I still use today.

These are my top 5 Old School Beauty Products that I still use

1. Lipsmackers

Oh Lipsmackers! It has been in my life since I can remember eating it straight out of the tube and throwing tantrums in the shopping center because my mother wouldn't buy me a new flavor.
Forever and always I have loved this product and it's watermelon magic

2. Maybelline Great Lash Mascara

I remember sneaking into the bathroom when I was younger and taking this out of mum's beauty bag, I would hide in the bathroom trying desperately to apply it properly and failing.
When I finally learnt how to apply Mascara this was my godsend, It's a reliable mascara that works great for me.

3. Mood lipstick

This was all the rage when I was younger and although it's now just seen as a 90's beauty fad that everbody has forgotten, I still swear by this stuff.
I now know that my mood doesn't actually affect it's color changing craziness and that its all just a chemical reaction but it's still an awesome long lasting lipstick.

4. Clariol herbal essences shampoo

This is still my favorite shampoo, It has that wonderful scent that many of us know and love.
I don't care for all the new claims that many shampoos have these days. Give me this timeless classic that cleans my locks any day of the week!

5. Reef coconut oil

I remember slathering this stuff on my legs and sitting in the sun for hours like there was no tomorrow when I was 15, I didn't care about the skin cancer factor, only that my legs looked Brazilian brown, Oh summer days! I use it much more sparingly now.

So there we have it Girlies! My favorite 5 Old School Beauty Products.

Let me know what your favorite old school products are

Natralus Natural Paw Paw Ointment Review

Hey Girlies,

So today I'm reviewing Natralus Natural Paw Paw Ointment.

Product overview.

This Paw Paw Ointment is made to relieve, soothe, protect and restore your skin and lips. This ointment contains more than 80mg/g of Certified Organic fresh fermented Carica Papaya which is more than two times the amount in Australia’s most recognized Paw Paw ointment brand.
Unlike many Paw Paw Ointments on the market this particular ointment contains no petrochemicals, no parabens, no mineral oil, no artificial fragrances and is colour free.

How I felt about it.

Okay, now first of all I was never that big on Paw Paw ointment, I've tried the Lucas’ Paw Paw ointment and could never get into the hype about it, to me it was just an expensive tube of petroleum jelly. Yuk!
Now ladies if you don’t already know why petroleum jelly is bad for you just read this and decide for yourself.
Natralus Paw Paw ointment is a godsend! Firstly the smell was amazing, not overpowering but more of a subtle fresh tropical scent. And the taste, Oh the taste! Yum! Almost all of what is applied to my lips is soon licked off. It goes on nice and smooth and unlike other brands it doesn’t go lumpy or crystallize. My lips have always felt like sandpaper but now they have never felt smoother, My partner doesnt cower away in fear of my crusty kisses anymore.
I had a mosquito bite on my ankle the other day and remembered that Paw Paw ointment is great for that so I slathered some on and to my surprise the itching went away really quickly. I also really love mixing a tiny amount with raw sugar to use as a lip scrub too!
Natralus Paw Paw ointment comes in 75g, 30g, 12g and 7g tubes, with the 12g tube including a lip applicator.

Price

$3.50 for a 7g tube on Pharmacyonline

I highly recommended this ointment to anybody who is looking for an alternative Paw Paw Ointment brand that does not contain petroleum. This is an absolute essential that you should keep in your handbag, first aid box and nappy bag.
I dare you not to love it.

Wotnot Facial Wipes Review

Hey Girlies,

So today I'm reviewing Wotnot facial wipes for oily/sensitive skin.

Product overview.

These facial wipes are made specifically for oily/sensitive skin. The wipes contain certified organic extracts from Australian pink grapefruit, papaya, rosehip and petitgrain and are made from 100% natural and biodegradable fibres. They also contain no drying alcohols and no petroleum oils so you can have peace of mind that no harsh chemicals are coming into contact with your skin, it's also free from parabens, artificial fragrances and a few other nasties that too many other facial wipes on the market contain

How I felt about it.

Now as strange as it may seem I have been using generic brand sensitive baby wipes as a makeup remover for as long as I can remember and could never justify spending the extra money on a product that was equal to my home brand wipes, I'm happy to announce that has changed! These wipes are my new go-to beauty essential. The wipe felt so gentle and lavish against my skin I almost couldn't bear to throw it away; clutching onto it like a hoarder with an old newspaper. My makeup came off with ease and I was happily surprised that even my waterproof mascara came off with little effort when  usually I'm left looking like a panda. Another great thing I adored is how moist the wipe stayed, usually I find most wipes are quite dry and I end up needing about 3 or 4 at a time to effectively remove all my makeup, I only needed 1 of these wipes.
As well as the overall quality of these wipes one of the main things I love about this brand is that a percentage of the sales go to Bear Cottage Childrens Hospice, which is a facility that children with terminal illnesses and their families can go to seek rest and treatment in a home style environment. My sister has suffered kidney disease and has had 3 kidney transplants since she was 6 and places like the bear cottage were a godsend to my parents, so I am very happy to support a brand that not only delivers a high quality product but also supports a charity close to my heart.

Price

$7.95 for a 25pk of wipes on Wotnot

I highly recommended these wipes to anybody who is acne prone with sensitive skin who wants great makeup removal with no harsh rubbing and who loves supporting a good cause.

DIY acne mask

Hey Girlies,

Today I'm going to be sharing with you my favorite DIY acne mask which uses the astringent properties of witch Hazel teamed with the powerful toxin removing product Activated Charcoal.

What you need.
1 tsp witch hazel
1 tsp aloe vera gel
1 tsp Activated Charcoal Powder
1 tsp water
A pinch of sea salt ( I use ground Himalayan Pink rock salt)
A small container

Method
Meausre out and mix all the ingredients together in the container being careful not to get any of the mixture on your clothes or benchtop.
(Note: It will be black, but don't be alarmed)

Apply the mask to your face and let it sit for 15 minutes.
Rinse off with warm water and pat your face dry.

I use this mask every second day to help with my acne and I have noticed my skin isn't as oily as it was before I started using it regularly and my breakouts are now less severe.

Give it a go and let me know what you think.

Palmers Olive Butter Formula Review

Hey Girlies,

Today I am trying out Palmer's Olive Butter Formula.

The look

The Palmer’s Olive Butter Formula I tested is in a striking olive green
400ml pump bottle.

Product Overview
This product is designed as an all over body lotion that moisturizes and provides antioxidants to the skin, while the bottle states “Organic therapy for healthy skin” the product itself is not organic, but rather it contains certified organic extra virgin olive oil which has been cold pressed to provide the highest quality olive oil.

How I felt about it
Upon applying the product the first thing I noticed was the amazing scent of olive oil, while not overpowering or as strong as other Palmer’s products the scent was still beautiful. It glides over the skin like silk and while it took a few minutes to be absorbed my skin felt remarkably smooth to touch afterwards and left no greasy residue, the pump action style bottle also made it a breeze to give me the exact amount of product I needed.

Cost
$9.99 at Priceline

I recommend this product to anybody who has dry skin and is looking for a new body lotion to try; you may just be pleasantly surprised at how brilliant it is.

Intro

Hey Girlies,

What makes feeling beautiful attainable? It’s simple; Confidence.

We all want to feel pretty and confidence in our beauty is something many of us desire; unfortunately the beauty the media portrays is often unhealthy and unattainable.

As a young woman I often find myself trying new and sometimes bizarre ways to make myself feel beautiful, from fad diets to slapping as much foundation as humanly possible over my face. But all the dieting and makeup in the world wont make me beautiful; it’s the confidence I have in myself that will.

That’s why I’m here, to offer support, advice, tips and product reviews about everything beauty to inspire ladies everywhere that they can feel beautiful in every manner. Every Sunday I will have a new post, whether it be a quote, a product review or a message for you all.
